1. About Us

This website is operated by Nook Homeware, trading as NOOK.

Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Nook Homeware.

Our online store is powered by Shopify.

By using our website or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms of Service together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Returns & Refunds Policy.

2. Our Products

NOOK products are handmade and many are made using natural materials.

We make every reasonable effort to accurately represent our products through photographs, descriptions and measurements. However, natural variations in wood grain, knots, colour, texture and finish are to be expected.

As our products are handmade, small variations in dimensions, shape and finish may also occur. These characteristics are part of the handmade nature of the product and are not considered faults unless they affect its reasonable quality, safety or intended use.

Colours may also appear slightly different depending on your screen or device.

3. Orders

When you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation at the email address provided.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where a product is unavailable, there has been an obvious pricing or product information error, or we are unable to fulfil the order.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, you will receive a full refund.

Your statutory cancellation rights are not affected by this section.

4. Handmade-to-Order Products

Many NOOK products are handmade to order.

Our current estimated production time is shown on the relevant product page and/or in our Shipping Policy.

Unless otherwise stated, please allow approximately 10–14 working days before dispatch for handmade products.

This allows time for your piece to be made, finished and for its natural oil finish to settle properly before packing.

Delivery time is additional to this production period.

5. Personalised Products

Products that are personalised, engraved or made to your individual specifications cannot normally be cancelled or returned simply because you have changed your mind.

This does not affect your statutory rights if the product is faulty, damaged or not as described.

6. Prices & Payment

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (£).

The price payable is the price displayed at checkout when your order is placed, together with any applicable delivery charges.

We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. Changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted.

If an obvious pricing error occurs, we reserve the right to cancel the affected order and issue a full refund.

7. Shipping & Delivery

Our estimated production and delivery times are set out in our Shipping Policy.

We will take reasonable care to dispatch your order within the stated timeframe. Occasionally delays may occur due to circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where we arrange delivery, responsibility for the goods remains with us until they are delivered to you or another person you have nominated to receive them.

Please ensure that the delivery information supplied when ordering is accurate.

8. Returns, Cancellations & Refunds

Your rights to cancel an order, return products and receive refunds are explained in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

For standard products purchased online, applicable UK consumer cancellation rights will apply.

Personalised or bespoke products may be exempt from change-of-mind cancellation rights.

Nothing in these Terms or our Returns & Refunds Policy affects your statutory rights.

9. Product Care & Use

Please follow any care instructions supplied with your NOOK product.

Our wooden serving products should be used, cleaned and maintained in accordance with the care information provided with the product.

Natural wood can change over time through use, washing, exposure to moisture and changes in its environment. Appropriate care and occasional re-oiling will help maintain the product.

10. Intellectual Property

The NOOK name, branding, logo, product photography, website content, graphics and original designs displayed on this website belong to Nook Homeware or are used with the permission of their respective owners.

They may not be reproduced, distributed or used for commercial purposes without our prior permission.

11. Website Use

You must not misuse this website, attempt to interfere with its operation, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorised access or use the website for unlawful purposes.

We may restrict access to the website where reasonably necessary to protect our business, customers or services.

12. Third-Party Services

Our website may use services provided by third parties, including Shopify and payment, delivery or other service providers.

Where you use a third-party service or follow a link to another website, that third party may have its own terms and privacy policies.

13. Liability & Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under UK law.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Products supplied by us must meet the standards required by applicable UK consumer law, including being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their intended purpose.

Personal information provided through our website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our store is hosted by Shopify, which processes certain information necessary to provide the online store and related services.

The Terms applying to an order will be those in effect when the order is placed.
